The Washington State Association of Senior Centers (WSASC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lori Nevin to its Board of Directors, effective September 9, 2024.
Lori Nevin brings over 30 years of experience in program development to the WSASC board. As the current Executive Director of Upper Kittitas County Senior Center in Central Washington, Nevin has demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for older adults across Washington state.
“I am very pleased to welcome Lori Nevin to our board. Her knowledge, leadership, and community experience are just what we were looking for to build our work with senior center professionals,” said Mary-Anne Grafton, Board Chair of WSASC.
Nevin’s appointment comes at an important time. Her skills are an asset in WSASC’s planning and advocacy for older adults, senior centers, and rapidly aging communities across our state. Her expertise in scaling senior center operations and developing intergenerational programs aligns perfectly with WSASC’s mission to ensure senior centers remain vibrant community hubs.
“I am honored to join the WSASC board,” said Nevin. “I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to strengthen the role of senior centers in our communities and adapt our services to meet the evolving need of older adults in Washington.”
Lori Nevin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Project Management Professional Certification. She has been recognized for her recent success growing her Senior Center by 30% in her first year.
