Washington State receives $31 million dollars for all thirteen Areas on Aging Agencies to distribute across the state.  Lack of funding impacts meals on wheels, congregate food programs, case management, social services, and senior centers.  Centers, while eligible under the Older American Act, don’t receive these federal dollars due to prioritization of other needs. We are the organizations keeping well people well. With the funding landscape from all sources diminishing for centers, community impacts and health costs inversely increase.
