CHAIR’S MESSAGE Spring is here, we welcome the sunny weather and we now have longer daylight hours! Woohoo! This also means that the conference is just around the corner. Sue Hilberg and her committee have been working diligently to present an intriguing and informative program. You will not want to miss “Capitol Connections”. This is your opportunity to find out more about “Putting the Gold Back in the Golden Years”, “Caresharing: Connecting to the Spiritual and Hope”, or learn more about making connections with social media. These are just a few of the many enlightening topics. I am confident that you will be pleased with the number of sessions and quality of dynamic speakers. I encourage you to peruse your conference brochure.In addition to the quality of the conference, I think you will be pleased with the cost of conference. With the economy remaining in a downturn, the committee was committed to procuring sponsorships to help offset the cost incurred with conference, therefore making it affordable for everyone to attend. Our association is very fortunate to have a group of hard working and dedicated individuals coordinating this fabulous event. Don’t forget, it is not too late to get involved and volunteer your time and talent to assist at conference. I know that everybody is busy, but together we make a great team. One of my favorite parts of conference is the networking opportunities. We have an incredibly talented and knowledgeable group of senior center professionals. Make sure you take advantage of sharing your knowledge and expertise with others and meeting new people. The benefits of conference are endless! …And ladies and gentlemen…start your engines!
