CHAIR’S MESSAGE Fellow WSASC Members, Spring is here! Conference is here! What fun we have during this time of year. Reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, attending workshops at conference and renewing our energy and commitment to make our centers a vital and thriving part of our communities. Attending conference whether for the first time or for the 15th is always an adventure. Listening to the stories from other Center's can be one of the best stress reduction exercises! You may come to realize that your Center may not be quite so unique, nor are the problems that you might be experiencing. Networking at conference is priceless. Someone, somewhere has been through it, planned it, done it or fundraised for it before. Don't try to reinvent the wheel, ask your peers. We have an amazing wealth of knowledge among our membership. Many of our members have 20+ years of experience in this industry. Take advantage of this resource, ask questions, and take notes! This is our one and only opportunity for training and networking among our entire membership. Don't miss out. Attend this valuable conference, we promise you will come away rejuvenated and with a renewed spirit, ready for another year of challenges and the occasional surprise! |
